Our Story
Not one grand realisation. A slow accumulation of them.
Why RETROH
Shelf after shelf of biscuits promising to be healthy, sugar-free, wholesome.
Ingredient #1
Refined flour.
A few lines down
Palm oil.
And then
Enough sugar to question the front.
The Indian cookie aisle is full of confident marketing and ingredient lists telling a very different story.
The gap
The gap between what a pack promises and what’s actually inside.
WITHOUT DOING THE MATH.
We wanted a cookie that tasted indulgent, without having to think twice about what was inside.
TASTE MATTERS.
INGREDIENTS MATTER.
WE DIDN’T WANT TO CHOOSE.
The founders
RETROH is built by twins, Reet and Rohil Mittal.
Which, honestly, means it was also built through a fair number of arguments. Two people who share a last name don’t always agree on how sweet a caramel filling should be.
But underneath the arguments was the same want: to build something we were actually proud to put our name on.
The name
RETROH is a little bit of both of us, woven into the word “retro”.
That feeling of looking back and remembering something good sits at the heart of what we make.
And retro, to us, isn’t just childhood. It’s time itself.
The version of you that grew up on a flavour.
The version of you eating it today.
The version of you who’ll hand it to your own kids one day.
Past, present, future.
In one bite.
RETROH doesn’t recreate the past.
It recreates how
the past made you feel.
With ingredients that make sense today.
